Box Programming & BP Training Systems was founded by Jason Brown, a former combat veteran and CrossFit box owner.
Jason has a Masters of Science degree in Exercise Physiology, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and is a Certified Special Strengths Coach with Westside Barbell.
He regularly writes for T-Nation.com, EliteFTS.com, and serves as a presenter with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Jason’s fitness journey began in high school.
His father strongly encouraged him in athletics and to be his best, and his mother was a powerlifter, so he was inside in weight rooms at a very young age. He excelled at football in high school and was fortunate to have the opportunity to train at a highly regarded strength and conditioning facility.
Jason graduated in 2002 and entered college, where he continued to play football. He started working part-time in personal training, and was introduced to and learned the Conjugate System popularized by Louie Simmons. He began training athletes both one-on-one and in group settings.

Dr. Christopher Swart is currently in an administrative and assistant professor role at Endicott College as the Clinical Coordinator of Exercise Science.
Christopher received his undergraduate and graduate degree from Bridgewater State University where he studied Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning.
After graduating from Bridgewater State University he went on to work with three division one athletic programs and worked with athletes ranging from the youth to professional levels.
In addition to his expertise in sports performance, he has also worked with a wide range of general and clinical populations in a variety of different health and fitness settings.
Brandon Smitley is a world renowned strength coach and athlete from Terre Haute, IN where he owns Terre Haute Intensity Resistance and Sports Training (THIRST) with his wife, Adrian, where they worked with athletes and clients of all ages and levels. Brandon earned his Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Health and Fitness, and his Master’s degree from Indiana State University in Physical Education and Coaching. He has been awarded Personal Trainer of the Year Awards from Purdue University and Indiana State University, awarded the Tribune Star Reader’s Choice Best Personal Trainer for the Wabash Valley and is a sponsored athlete with Elitefts and NutraBio.
As a competitive powerlifter, Brandon currently holds the all-time world record squat in the 132 pound weight class, with a 567 pound squat. He also holds a 330 pound bench press, and 510 pound deadlift in that weight class, totalling 1377 pounds, ranking 4th all-time.
Brandon has been involved in coaching at the collegiate, private, and commercial sector for over 12 years while also working with clientele worldwide accumulating over 12,000 in-person coaching hours. He’s been published at Elitefts, Muscle and Performance, and Muscle and Fitness magazine.
He holds his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Level One Sports Performance (USAW), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certifications, and is educated in PRI for Fitness and Performance.
